According to a recently released report by the CDC, around 30 percent of employees in the food service industry smoke.
Experts theorize that the high percentage stems from the fact that employees in the food industry tend to have lower levels of education than the general population. On average, across all industries, 19.6 percent of people smoke.
Construction workers and miners also have elevated levels of smoking.
