In need of a quick dessert? Want to impress your friends with something fabulous? This quick and easy apple crisp is just the ticket. It is made with tart apples, boxed yellow cake mix and some sugar and spice. This lovely dessert is ready in just over a half hour. Your house will be smell of cinnamon and your mouth will be watering. Apple crisp is a delicious autumn dessert that will be hard to resist.
Ingredients:
5 Granny Smith Apples
1 Yellow Cake mix
2 tablespoons Sugar
1 tablespoon Ground Cinnamon
1/4 cup Butter, melted
1/2 cup Chopped Nuts
Vanilla Ice Cream or Whipped Cream
Directions:
Peel, core, and slice apples using the pampered chef peeler/corer/slicer then cut the apples in half.
Combine the cake mix, sugar, cinnamon, butter and nuts.
Place 1/2 the apples in the bottom of the deep dish covered baker.
Sprinkle 1/2 of the cake mix mixture on the apples.
Layer the rest of the apples then sprinkle the rest of the cake mix mixture on top.
Pop it in the microwave and cook for 8 minutes on high.
Voila!!
If you are making this in the oven layer the apples and cake mixture the same way then cook at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes.**
