There's nothing like a $34,700 dessert to make you feel good about humanity. This treat comes from jewelers at Wave Jewellery in the U.K. and Lindeth Howe Country House Hotel head chef Marc Guilbert and has an actual retail price of £22,000.
The ridiculously expensive yet undeniably ravishing dessert consists of a chocolate "pudding" made with four types of Belgian chocolate and flavored with whiskey, orange and peach. The pudding is layered between slices of biscuit jocund and champagne jelly, and the whole dessert is shaped like a Faberge easter egg.
The $34,700 dessert also comes with a free night at the Lindeth Howe Country House Hotel, a bottle of Chateau d'Yquem dessert wine (valued at about $788 a bottle), and an 18-carat rose gold ring with a 2.62-carat chocolate-hued diamond.
