Nom. If the thought of GM corn being used in every conceivable product on in our daily lives isn't enough, now it might just make it onto our plates as sweet corn. Yikes!
So far, Trader Joe's has said they will not carry GM sweet corn, and only pressure from the consumer will make other grocery stores take notice.
If you are not interested in eating GM corn, or simply believe that GM food should be labeled as such, check out this petition. Please, sign and spread the word!
We should all have a choice about what foods to eat, and letting us know that our food contains GM ingredients is just as important as letting us know about other every other ingredient a manufacturer uses to make food.
