When you're an A-list celebrity like John Travolta, you're probably accustomed to doing pretty much whatever you want and eating wherever you like. So it was odd that the Pulp Fiction and Grease star was denied a reservation at a restaurant. The weirder part? He was denied a table at a KFC.
The actor was in East Grinstead this weekend to attend an annual Scientology event. One of his representatives called the local KFC and attempted to reserve a table for Travolta and his party. That request was denied.
An employee told the rep that Travolta would have to stand in line with the rest of the customers. "'To me, customers are customers, no matter who they are. It doesn't make a difference if someone is famous," that employee later told the Daily Mail.
KFC's spokesman offered a slightly different opinion. "In hindsight, of course, we would have reserved a table for him. It's not every day you get a Hollywood star eating in your restaurant."
No word on whether Travolta actually ate at the KFC in the end.
