Quail Hollow Farms, "Farm to Fork" first annual dinner went terribly wrong when the local health department showed up and forbade the farm from serving the meal that they made.
Just as the 100 guests sat down to enjoy a fresh, seasonal meal of locally sourced meats and veggies, the Southern Nevada health department declared that the gourmet dinner could not be served. Monty and Laura Bledsoe, the evening's hosts filed the proper paperwork, but the inspector did not like the fact that the farm fresh meat did not have a USDA stamp on it.
This was bad news for the guests, farmers, and hosts as hundreds of hours of planning went into the event.
“Hosting a dinner like this has been in the back of my mind for a couple of years,” Laura, the hostess stated. “Farm to Fork Dinners are growing in popularity in states all around the country. People are getting back to their roots and developing more understanding about where their food comes from.”

This makes me so angry! The meat that HAS the USDA stamp on it is making people sick, even killing some and constantly recalled. I am so sick of the gov't telling us what to eat! When will this end?
