Army soldiers may soon be snacking on caffeinated beef jerky if the edible created at the Natick Soldier Research, Development & Engineering Center passes muster. This facility is also responsible for creating the Army's field rations, which incidentally are undergoing a gourmet makeover.
The caffeinated beef jerky will have about the same amount of caffeine as a standard cup of coffee, but won't require hot water, sugar, cream or a cup. Read more about the curious snack at the link below.
