Last weekend was National Oatmeal Day and Bob Harper made sure to celebrate to encourage people to eat oatmeal as a healthy breakfast. Harper took to the streets of Chicago to hand out packets of Instant Quaker Oatmeal.
"What is the best choices for breakfast? Well, oatmeal is like the number one choice because you need to have a good source of fiber, and a good source of complex carbohydrates," Harper said. "I think that with the instant oatmeal you have plenty of different flavor options because people really start to get bored when it comes to their food. I'm a freak of nature that eats the same thing all the time! I like my plain oatmeal with berries and almonds, that's what I like, that's what I eat."
Harper also said that oatmeal is a great choice for an after workout meal.
