How Mariah Carey Lost 70 Pounds Post-Pregnancy

Mariah Carey appeared on today's episode of "The Rosie Show" and revealed to host Rosie O'Donnell how she lost the 70 pounds of baby weight she gained while pregnant with Monroe and Moroccan Cannon. First, she lost about 40 pounds of water weight, which she retained due to a severe case of edema during her difficult pregnancy.

Carey then started with the Jenny diet plan (formerly known as Jenny Craig), losing an additional 30 pounds. "The diet is 90 percent of it," she said. "The whole point of [doing] this is not just like, 'Oh, hey, look at me and my weight loss, I'm fantastic.' It's really health. Like I said, I learned it when I became helpless and felt so vulnerable like never before in my life."

Mariah Carey also revealed that while losing her baby weight, she avoided weighing herself. "I would tend to go, 'Does this size dress fit me that I wore three years ago? I'm good, let's go.' I would go by what it looked like, how I felt."
