Maryland Thieves Steal Girl Scouts' Money

November 11, 2011

A group of Girl Scouts selling cookies outside a Wal-Mart in Bowie, Md. recently had their cash box stolen. A man approached the girls, asked them the price of the cookies, and then grabbed the cash box and ran away. A woman started to run after him, when another man stopped her, assuring her that he'd chase down the thief.

Unfortunately, it turns out that the thief and the would-be good samaritan were in cahoots. The thieves made out with about $200 worth of the Girl Scouts' sales.
