One of the most popular YouTube shows of all time, Annoying Orange, has landed a TV deal with Cartoon Network. The YouTube sensation has attracted more than 800 million views.
Unlike most TV shows, creator Dane Boedigheimer created a TV pilot of the popular YouTube show and then shopped it to TV executives. According to Mashable, "the premise of the series is that Orange and his buddies use a 'magical fruit cart' for time travel."
The half-hour show will debut on the network next year. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
