Jamie Oliver held a fundraiser in LA last week for his Food Revolution efforts for schools in the area. Held at Big C, the event was the beginning of Oliver's fundraising efforts to raise $1 million for the cause.
“We worked so hard to pass the Child Nutrition Bill. It’s amazing how quickly it can all go to s--t," Oliver said, referring to the Congress decision to consider pizza as a vegetable for kids.
“I know I’m a foreigner in your country,” he continued, “but I do what I do in any country. I want to make a change, and no one changes faster than Americans and everyone copies Americans.”
At the event, Oliver also confirmed that he will be opening a restaurant in LA "in the next few years."
