David Kinch has been named GQ's Chef of the Year in the magazines upcoming Men of the Year edition.
"I'll think of two ingredients, then a third element, a jarring element," Kinch said of his cooking style in the accompanying article. "It could be a temperature or a pairing that is not normal. My goal is to have them go, 'Who knew?'"
Kinch's claim to fame is his role as Chef-Proprietor at Manresa Restaurant in California and his win over Bobby Flay on Iron Chef America.
