Creamed corn is a quick and easy side dish that everyone will love. The recipe calls for canned corn but if you prefer frozen, that's fine too. If corn is in season, use fresh ears for this dish. This is a wonderful holiday dish that will be gobbled up at the table (with little or no leftovers).
Ingredients:
2 cans sweet corn
2 cans crema (found in the Latin or baking section)
1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. dried oregano
salt and black pepper to taste
Directions:
Mix all ingredients into a large pot. Cook until heated through and slightly thickened. Adjust seasonings.
