The Vegetable Light Lets Produce Provide Power

December 8, 2011

The Vegetable Light is a table light with a difference: it uses a vegetable for its base (and its power) until you're ready to cook with that ingredient. It was designed by Peter Marigold for FoodMarketo and comes with pink or pearl bulbs and in switched or unswitched versions.

DesignMarketo notes that the lamp's owner should experiment with different vegetables, but swedes, celeriac and yams seem to work best. For another unusual lighting solution, see the Cereal Bowl Light.
