After being inspired by a clip of TV show Portlandia in which Fred Armisen's character hosts an "Allergy Pride Parade," Grub Street wanted to know if the actor himself had any real-life food allergies.
"Avocado, walnuts, apples, eggplant, and melons," Armisen replied with his list of food allergies. The actor says, however, that he doesn't have too much trouble trying to avoid said foods. "Like, if I'm getting tacos, I just ask 'Is there avocado? Make sure there's now avocado.' And usually they do that. Usually it's sufficient to just tell them."
Fortunately, Armisen's allergies are not too severe. If he does happen to nibble on some eggplant or walnuts by accident, he'll just break out into an annoying rash.
