A salty dog is a refreshing and simple winter cocktail. The key to making a delicious salty dog is to use freshly squeezed grapefruit juice, this will make all the difference. This sweet-salty-bitter cocktail is perfect for sipping on a cool winter's day.
Salty Dog
Ingredients:
5 fluid ounces freshly squeezed grapefruit juice
1.5 ounces vodka or gin
Salt and Sugar
Directions:
Run a slice of grapefruit around the rim of your glass to moisten it. Then, dip the glass in a mixture of salt and sugar.
Fill the highball glass with ice then pour in grapefruit juice and vodka/gin.
Mix well and serve.
