The Go Halfsies initiative is taking a stand against hunger, obesity, food insecurity and oversized restaurant portions. Patrons who dine at participating restaurants can opt for meals with a "go halfsies" symbol; they'll get half of the usual portion but pay full price, and 90 percent of the restaurant's proceeds will be donated to fight hunger.
Go Halfsies is currently enacted at restaurants in New York City and Austin, with the hopes to spread to additional cities soon. Check out a video of the initiative below.
