The Grammy Awards are making a bigger effort to be environmentally friendly this year. In addition to green energy and a new waste and recycling system, the awards show will be serving food that is locally grown and sustainable.
According to the NRDC, the Grammys will be serving a menu created by Along Came Mary that features meat, produce and cheese that was grown locally. All of the seafood served was produced sustainably and all the leftovers will be sent to local food banks. Even the cooking oil used to prepare the meals will be recycled.
The Grammy meal will be served on reusable china and glassware.
