Foodie space geeks and wannabe astronauts may want to participate in a new culinary experience offered by NASA in conjunction with Cornell University and the University of Hawaii-Manoa. The goal is to improve astronaut food for scientists traveling to Mars. Applicants will spend four months eating foods like dried meat, flour and sugar; they'll also have to wear spacesuits and traipse around a lava flow.
Prospective participants must meet specific educational requirements and cannot smoke. After completing their mission, they'll be paid $5,000. Would you ever participate in such an unusual tasting challenge?
