This strawberry lemonade layer cake from Easy Baked is a luscious dessert. Strawberry cake is layered with lemonade flavored frosting made with cream cheese, Cool Whip and marshmallow cream. The cake is then decorated with thinly sliced fresh strawberries. The lemon flavor comes from a packet of Kool-Aid Lemonade. If you prefer the all-natural route, use lemon juice and lemon zest instead. I would also substitute fresh whipped cream for the Cool Whip. Strawberry lemonade layer cake is a bit of spring during the winter.
One box of strawberry cake mix (plus oil, water and eggs as directed on box)
8 oz. Philadelphia Cream Cheese (softened to room temp.)
1 packet (0.23oz.) of Kool-Aid Lemonade
Yellow food coloring gel (as desired for color)
2 cups Jet-Puffed Marshmallow Creme
8 oz. Cool Whip Topping
Fresh strawberries to garnish.
