Super Simple Whole Steamed Fish with Ginger and Scallions

March 2, 2012

This super simple whole steamed fish is one of the easiest and most delicious dinners you can prepare. A whole firm white fleshed fish is steamed with the flavors of Asian. Ginger, scallion, and soy sauce merry so well with the fish and the flavors just explode in your mouth. This is a common cooking technique used in Asia, especially in Southeast Asia. You can purchase a fresh whole fish from your local fishmonger. I like to keep the head on when steaming because it adds such great depth of flavor to the dish. If you do not have access to whole fish, this recipe can also be done with fish fillets. Watch the video below to see how it's done.
