Sapore Dei Mobili Shows the Consumption of Contemporary Furniture With Cake

April 17, 2012

The Sapore Dei Mobili project by Ryosuke Fukusada and Rui Pereira is a cake pan that creates furniture pieces out of cake. The duo has said that their project is "a reflection about the velocity of the contemporary furniture industry and how the consumers are unable to digest the huge amount of new products launched every year."

Though its intentions were to send a message, the cake pan essentially allows you to play with your food. For another way that food has been worked into furniture, check out these tables made of coffee grounds.
