Burger King Will Use Cage-Free Eggs and Pork in 2017

April 25, 2012

The United States' second largest fast food chain, Burger King, made an announcement in AP that as of 2017, the company will use cage-free eggs and pork.  Other food corporations such as Costco and Wal-Mart have already transitioned their private-label eggs to be cage-free.  McDonalds's and Wendy's are also making plans to shift to cage-free products but have no definite timeline.  If large food companies, like Burger King, make such a bold change in their supply, do you think we will see a significant difference in farming practices? Let us know your opinion in the comment section below.
