These adorable key lime tartlets from Gimme Some Oven are a crowd-pleasing dessert. Mini tart shells are made from phyllo dough, a Greek pastry made from thin sheets of dough. The filling is made from a combination of sweetened condensed milk, lime juice and zest, and sugar (and it only take 20 minutes to make!). Each component of this dessert can be made ahead of time and assembled the day of the event. Whether you are throwing a party or just want something sweet, these key lime tartlets are splendidly delicious.
2-3 packages frozen mini phyllo tarts
1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
1/2 cup fresh lime juice, plus zest from two limes
2 Tbsp. powdered sugar
4 egg yolks
2 cups whipped cream
8-10 key limes, sliced into thin coins for garnish
