Paul McCartney Wants School Lunches to go Meat-Less

June 26, 2012

Sir Paul McCartney has been vegetarian for quite sometime and is even a co-founder for Meatfree Mondays. Now, the musician is advocating that schools in Britain start offering meat-less lunches.

"Younger people... (have said), 'We really love this idea, because it gives us some way of helping to save our future, helping to save this planet and helping to avoid the catastrophes that climate change could cause,'" McCartney said.

He is currently campaigning to get schools to participate in Meatfree Mondays in a video that recently premiered at the Sunday Times Festival of Education in London. Watch the video below!
