Needles Found In Delta Air Lines Sandwiches

July 16, 2012

Needles were found in four sandwiches on four different Delta Air Lines flights.

The passengers each found a sewing type needle in their sandwiches during the flights from Amsterdam to three US cities. One of the passengers was injured but refused medical treatment.

The airline food was supplied by Gate Gourmet, a Swiss based company, and the largest supplier of catering services for airlines. The airline has removed all food from the catering company and replaced it with prepackaged food, as they investigate the incidents.

UPDATE: One of the passengers is now on HIV  preventative medicine
