Badam Halwa is one of the many rich and decadent sweets that comes from India. As one of my own personal favorites, this almond dessert is the epitome of comfort food -- it is best served warm (but many enjoy it cold), soft in texture and tastes delicious.
- 1 cup almonds
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 3 cups water
- 2 cups Ghee (Indian Clarified Butter)
- 1 pinch of saffron
