Meatless Monday is a long-standing campaign that asks people to forgo eating meat for one day a week. However, Mondays were chosen for a good reason. According to the below infographic from the Culinary Schools Connection, studies have shown that people who seek out to make personal changes on Mondays are likely to set a tone for the remainder of the week. 

Aside from the obvious benefits to animals, participating in Meatless Mondays have many benefits for individuals. Not eating meat just once a week can help reduce heart disease, fight diabetes and lose weight. Furthermore, it helps keep your food budget in check and helps the environment by minimizing water usage and reducing the carbon output.
