The Daisy Cocktail is one of the original cocktails, a combination of base spirit (rum, gin, vodka, brandy, etc), a sour component, and traditionally soda water. This version, from Watershed Distillery (the Ohio micro-distillery), gives it a modern twist by muddling lemon with bitters, giving it a shake with bourbon, grapefruit juice and agave nectar, and finally topping it all with a float of amaro.
2 oz Watershed Bourbon
2 Slices Lemon
3 Dash Fee Brothers Whiskey Barrel Bitters
1/2 oz grapefruit juice
1/2 oz Agave Nectar
1/4 oz Benedictine
Muddle 2 lemon wheels with bitters, shake all but amaro, double strain into iced double old fashioned, float amaro, garnish with Nutmeg dusted Lemon Wheel.
