Pan con tomate (bread with tomato) is a simple Spanish pleasure, and with tomatoes in season it's the perfect time to make this easy dish. Simply slice a good quality bread such as ciabatta or pugliese and toast it. Cut a tomato in half and rub on one side of the toast. That's it! A delicious and healthy snack or appetizer.
First rub raw garlic before rubbing the tomato
Add prosciutto or serrano ham to make it pan tomaquet
Top with marinated white anchovies (boquerones)
