Blender Salsa Verde

Salsa verde is a fresh no-cook Mexican sauce that's good with just about anything.  This recipe is made in a blender so you do not have to fuss with stirring ingredients on a stove top or even turning on the oven.  Salsa verde can be simply served with chips or accompany a main dish like tacos or chilaquiles.

Salsa Verde

Ingredients:

6 Tomatillos, peeled
1 Small Onion, chopped
3 cloves of Garlic
1 can of Jalapenos, undrained
 
Directions:
 
Take skin off tomatillos and place in blender
 
Chop one small onion and add to blender
 
Mash 3 cloves of garlic and add to blender
 
Pour in one can of jalapenos to blender
 
Mix all ingredients until consistency of thick soup
 
Serve chilled with tortilla chips!
