Slow Cooker Mexican Spiced Shredded Chicken

Mexican spiced shredded chicken is an all purpose ingredient that be used in a number of dishes.  This chicken recipe is made in the slow cooker without much effort on your part.  Chicken breasts are combined with your favorite jarred salsa, taco seasoning, and Mexican beer before cooking low and slow for at least four hours.  You can enjoy the shredded chicken in tacos, burritos, salads, nachos and much more.

Slow Cooker Mexican Spiced Chicken

Ingredients:

3 lbs. of chicken breasts
16 oz. jar of salsa
1 taco seasoning packet
1 Mexican beer
1 squeezed lime
 
Directions:

Place all ingredients into a crock-pot.

Cook on low for six to eight hours or on high for four hours.
 
If you cook on low, shred the chicken with a fork after about four hours.
