Spooky Breakfast: Pumpkin Pancakes with Black Cinnamon Syrup

October 24, 2013

Halloween is on a school day this year, so your little trick-or-treaters will need a proper breakfast to fuel them through the day. Try a spooky, spidery take on pancakes and syrup, and let the kids help decorate! This pumpkin pancake recipe from Tidy Mom totally drenches a short stack in cinnamon-vanilla syrup made black with food coloring.

Use a squeeze bottle or a plastic zip bag with a small hole cut in one corner to pipe syrup decorations on these funny flapjacks.
