Quick and Easy Dessert: Mixed Berry Dump Cake

You don’t have to be an accomplished baker to create delicious baked desserts. Dump cakes, much like cobblers, are a quick and easy way to make tasty treats but without the effort! Simply dump and bake! Ingredients usually consist of canned or frozen fruits and a boxed cake mix. Dump cakes are a great for beginning bakers and kids as so little is required to make them. We love this easy Mixed Berry Cake recipe that comes together is just three easy steps and is ready in under an hour.

Mixed Berry Dump Cake

Makes 12 to 16 servings

Ingredients:
2 packages (12 ounces) frozen mixed berries, thawed and drained
1 package (about 15 ounces) white cake mix
¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 can (12ounces) Lemon-lime soda
½ cup cinnamon chips

Directions:
Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 F. Spray 13X9-inch baking pan with nonstick cooking spray.

Step 2: Spread mixed berries in prepared pan. Top with cake mix, spreading evenly. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Slowly pour soda over top, covering cake mix as much as possible. Sprinkle with cinnamon chips.

Step 3: Bake 45 to 50 minutes or until toothpick inserted into center of cake comes out clean. Cool at least 15 minutes before serving.
