Fall is here and I can finally indulge in my favorite flavor: Pumpkin Spice! Of course I can always eat and drink my way to the bottom of a pumpkin spice seasoning jar, but since it's fall, I can find it much more readily than any other time of year.
What I don't like about pumpkin spice foods, is that usually they are much too sweet. I even drink my Pumpkin ice coffees black with only that sweet syrup as the single ingredient. I like to taste the spices, and of course the actual pumpkin flavoring. When I make foods flavored this way at home, I get to adjust the level of sugar so that the first taste is the spicy goodness, and not so much the sugary parts.
