ColorKitchen Christmas Sprinkles Hot Cocoa

Do you feel the cold of winter settling in yet? Each evening our daughter asks for a hot chocolate, a luxury I simply can’t deny her this time of year. It was also my favorite treat during the holidays when I was a kid and, like mother, like daughter, we both love our steamy mugs of chocolate topped with marshmallows.

I recently discovered a new company called ColorKitchen (based in my hometown in Central Oregon!) that makes all natural, plant-based food coloring and fun seasonal sprinkles that are all vegan, gluten free (yay!, since I have Celiac disease), and non-GMO. Say bye-bye to artificial dyes and say hello to natural tints from spirulina, turmeric, and beets. Now, I can take my daughter's cup of hot chocolate to a new level and turn it into something festive and fun, like the green Grinch Hot Chocolate below. Whip in some of the green dye and top your cocoa with cute Christmas tree sprinkles. It’s the perfect drink for watching “How the Grinch Stole Christmas.”

Check out ColorKitchen here and order online or search for a store near you.  They have fun stuff for Valentine’s Day and Easter, too!
