Kudos to the winners! But it's statistically improbable that so few women would be honored. What's wrong with this picture?

I agree, Janice! I think this is a problem with most "chef" awards. There are so many outstanding women chefs/restaurateurs (and journalists/authors, etc..). It is indeed unfortunate that they don't get the recognition they deserve. Maybe we should start an all female award??? :)
