According to the Mayo Clinic website, pink urine can result from eating beets, blackberries or rhubarb. Eating candy or other foods that contain red food color may also cause urine to have a pink color. Additionally, the presence of blood in the urine can make it look pink. This is typically not a serious condition unless other symptoms such as pain or fever are present, but checking with your doctor would be the wise thing to do.

Drinking red wine, however, does not cause urine to turn pink.
