Epic Corn Bread
1 Cup corn meal
1 Cup flour
1/4 cup sugar
4 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 Cup milk
1/4 cup lard (oil can be sub)
Combine corn meal, flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
Combine milk, egg, and lard in another bowl.
Beat until smooth.
Bake in a greased 8 inch square pan at 425 degrees for 25 minutes
(I sprinkle sugar over the top before baking)
This is my tried and true, never fail, everyone loves it, corn bread. Check it out and add to your dinner with very little fuss. It even tastes great the next morning. Enjoy!
