Something about the combination of the nutty browned butter and the sweet marshmallows formed a great, complex, caramel-like flavor, and then the bite of that melty dark chocolate just tied the whole thing together.

Today's post is about a warm quinoa salad I made with lemon juice and toasted almonds. The recipe is similar to that of Indian lemon rice. Instead of the rice, I am using quinoa here.

I decided to add some maple sugar and syrup to a brining solution and create a fantastic pork loin. Just slightly sweet, with a caramelized crust, this pork was succulent and perfectly cooked.
