I had never made apple butter until this fall but people were telling me how good it is and I had some apples that I needed to use. So, I made a few different batches of apple butter and realized it was 1) delicious and 2) makes your house smell like a freaking cinnamon factory of wonderfulness and 3) can be eaten on top of cheese on top of bread.
