Iberico Ham
About
Jamón Iberico, known as "pata negra" is a Spanish cured ham made from black pigs raised on a diet rich in acorns.
The name "pata negra" referes to the color of the animal´s nails, which are white in normal pigs, and thus may be taken as a general indication of an original Jamón Ibérico.
