Cempedak (or Chempedak - Artocarpus Champedan) is a small, cylindrical tropical fruit. The pulp has a sweet, juicy, yet creamy texture and the flavor is similar to that of jackfruit or breadfruit. It is native to southeast Asia in Malaysia and Thailand, and is often made it to fritters that are sold as street food in Malaysia.
