St Valery Carrot

The St. Valery carrot was introduced in 1885 in New York and was proclaimed in 1924 to be "The best and most handsome main crop carrot . . . Enormously productive. Very desirable for private gardens as well as for markets" with roots at 8-10" long, fine-grained, sweet and a long shelf life of 50 to 80 days.
