Radicchio
About
A red-leafed, Italian variety of Chicory, that has white ribs or veins and usually comes in small round heads like ice-burg lettuce. Radicchio has a refreshing crunchy texture and is slightly bitter taste. Though generally expensive, one or two leaves of this vegetable can add color and taste to a variety of salads.
