Foodzie is an online marketplace where you can discover and buy food directly from small passionate food producers and growers. They are a part of a bigger mission, to help change the way people eat. Their small piece of that mission is to help the small food producers across the country find customers and grow their business. They believe that instead of a small number of large food companies there should be a large number of small food companies. They admit they’re a bit obsessed with good food and passionate about connecting those that like to eat it with the people that make it.

Chicharrones are the new snack in a pack, blending classic flavors into one irresistible treat. Drawn from the best local sources, Chicharrones contain natural pork, sea salt, cane sugar, and the finest chiles. The exquisite balance of flavors is just one of the reasons Chicharrones are the official snack food of the Cochon 555 national competition tour.

Oil &Vinegar “culinary gift shop” concept brings together a wide range of international food and cooking products in alluring, Mediterranean-style surroundings. Their mission is to be the consumers’ first choice when looking for a unique and “tasteful” gift for any occasion. The focus is not only on the attractiveness of the gift, but ultimately its flavor and ability to accent both the palate and table. Their product lines and everything they do at Oil & Vinegar reflect their focus – being “PASSIONATE ABOUT TASTE”.

Katie Das started Das Foods in 2006 in Chicago, IL. Katie’s original vision was to introduce others to wonderful gourmet salts that she has located all over the world. The first line of products that Das Foods introduced was a line of six gourmet cooking and finishing salts. Katie was excited to promote her new line and signed up to participate for a World of Chocolate philanthropic event in November 2006, organized by the AIDS Foundation of Chicago. When Katie found out that she was accepted as a vendor for the event she was ecstatic. That’s when she suddenly realized that as name suggests, World of Chocolate is a celebration of sweets and most of all, chocolate.
Since 2006 Katie has expanded the line to include eight unique and indulgent flavors. All caramels use only natural and sustainable ingredients such as Midwestern cream, butter and honey all procured from small farmers. She also donates 10% of profits to AIDS Foundation of Chicago and collaborates with the Foundation on many events each year.
