Foodista and Zephyr Adventures are thrilled to announce two International Food Blogger Conferences coming in 2011! We’ll host the first from August 26-28 at the historic Hotel Monteleone in New Orleans and the second on the weekend of November 11-13 at the Hilton Doubletree in beautiful Santa Monica, California!
We’re still developing the agenda but we have decided to open registration early since our past two conferences sold out so quickly. In addition to guaranteeing a spot, those who register early will have the opportunity to help shape the conference agenda, speaker lineup, meals and other activities! We expect capacity to be 250-300. We hope to see you there!

Aside from the spectacular presentations at IFBC this year, we also dined well. Our hope in planning food for the event was for the fare to be diverse enough to appeal to a wide range of palates, preferences, and diets. We also aimed to highlight food and drinks that are beloved in the Pacific Northwest. Below are the menus from the weekend, a long and diverse list of delicious offerings from some of the area’s most renowned chefs, restaurants, and bakeries.
The 2010 International Food Blogger Conference finished on Sunday. It was a weekend packed with wonderful food, wine, presentations and personal networking. We’ll be adding presentations from the conference to this site shortly, in the meantime, enjoy the following slide show!
We’re just a few days away from IFBC! Can’t wait?!?! Get an early start on the conference and listen to these sneak preview interviews with some of the speakers.
As if the conference weren’t enough, friends of IFBC have organized a number of additional food activities! One of the most exciting opportunities is a visit to the cooking lab where Dr. Nathan Myhrvold (former Microsoft CTO) and a team of food scientists are developing the groundbreaking Modernist Cuisine: the Art and Science of Cooking…SOLD OUT
We’re thrilled to announce the conference will close Sunday with an exclusive preview of Today’s Special. An audience favorite at film festivals around the world, this heartwarming food comedy was written by and stars Aasif Mandvi (The Daily Show, The Last Airbender) and Madhur Jaffrey, international film star and bestselling author of Indian cookbooks. The film will be accompanied by Indian-inspired bites and the filmmaker will be present for Q&A.
