International Food Blogger Conference (IFBC)

Food and Drink

The International Food Blogger Conference will not only be an opportunity to learn about food, writing, and technology, but it will also be a delicious dining experience.
This year, we have gathered quite the array of talented chefs, restaurants, bakeries, and winemakers. Everything from savory bites to perfectly paired wines to luxuriously rich Theo Chocolate.
Beginning on Friday evening, attendees will be treated to dishes prepared by acclaimed chefs including Lisa Dupar of Pomegranate Bistro and Lisa Dupar Catering, and Jason Wilson of Crush.
Breakfast fare will be provided on both Saturday and Sunday from local bakeries and cafes such as Top Pot Doughnuts.
Saturday will include lunch based upon food and wine pairings from renowned chefs and winemakers of the Walla Walla Wine Alliance. To tide guests’ appetites until dinner, a late afternoon cocktail hour will feature sherry wines from the Secret Sherry Society accompanied by delicious tapas created by chef Philippe Thomelin of Olivar. The winemaker’s dinner on Saturday evening is sure to thrill with gourmet fare provided by a variety of honored chefs, including Tamara Murphy and Ethan Stowell, both
named Food & Wine 2008 Best New Chefs.
And the dining doesn’t stop there. Sunday’s lunch will be catered by the many gourmet food trucks of the Pacific Northwest.
If you can believe it, this list is just the short version. Other top chefs and foodmakers who will be delighting taste buds will be John Howie of Seastar Restaurant, John Howie Steak, and Sport Restaurant and Bar, Jack Czarnecki
from Oregon White Truffle Oil, and even fresh seafood from Taylor Shellfish! Prepare for a weekend full of delicious dishes at this year’s IFBC!

Sadly I won’t be able to make this years conference as I’ve been nursing a severe leg injury that still needs time to heal. Didn’t want to be the woman with the cane.

However, this list has me rethinking that plan…even if means crawling all the way to Seattle!

@Barbara – Don’t let your injury keep you away. I will be at the conference as the woman with the walker and the service dog. It is tiring but worth it!
