In the neverending quest for yummy desserts, who can have get enough? These apricot jam squares are sweet but not *too* sweet, and are the perfect lunch snack that holds up really well until the little chef gets to the cafeteria. We hope you try them:
1 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup shortening, ½ butter
½ butter
1 1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 1/2 cups quick rolled oats
May add ½ c. chopped nuts for topping
